How I Met Your Mother - is over

Those who keep track of the sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" might be little disheartened that it is over.

Yesterday I watched the last two back to back episodes. Surprisingly these two episodes did not created that interest which is a signature of HIMYM's each and every other episode. It was kind of evident, that they some how tried to wrap it up. Apparently, the producers and directors already had the end in the mind, but they falter in arriving at that situation. It seemed like little disconnected.

Although, through one of the questions of Ted's son, it was somehow revealed that the story was not actually about how he met their mother, but it was kind of building up of story to finally lead Ted to Robin for one last time.

Those, who haven't followed this sitcom probably won't understand anything, but those who have, would understand what I mean to say.

I was little disappointed with the way the story ended and it was kind of difficult to digest all of them grown up. Seems like wrapping up such successful sitcoms is always difficult. I found the same with other sitcom like "Friends".

But all in all, it was one of the most hilarious sitcoms, I have watch. Best part was any of its episodes were unpredictable. Those who wrote those episodes have really done a commendable job. You couldn't expect what will be served in today's episode. While watching it, you might feel what exactly is happening in the episode and might not make any sense, but then some how towards the end of the episode everything will synchronize. And in case it doesn't, then was also well taken care of by pointing out that the story teller don't exactly remembers.

I remember one such episode where Lily is pregnant and Barney kind of make fun of her, but saves her also. The whole episode was about how Ted is trying to recollect the events and finally gets the whole story right.

Then there were episodes with mention of some Goat in the apartment and how it made no sense.

HIMYM showed that you actually don't need a great story to make people laugh. It succeeded in creating laugh riots for nine consecutive years.

I think all the actors in the sitcom were highly benefited. We have seen Lily, Marshall, Robin and Barney playing some big roles even in Hollywood movies, except for Ted around who the whole story revolves around. At least I did not come across any of this other work than HIMYM as yet.

It will be difficult to create the same magic again, but then, same was said when "FRIENDS" had ended.

Missing Malaysian plane: A mystery still unsolved

This is a height of mystery, I have come across in recent days. Never felt that humans are still vulnerable and so not under control of Nature. A plane went missing four days back and we are still searching for any hints of its existence.

All the fiction and/or high-tech movies have kind of created this impression on mind that any thing that happens on this earth is watched and tracked by some body sitting in either USA, Russia, China or some European country. Movies like "Bourne series" some times makes one cautious of their day to day activities and body language. Coming down from that to this situation where a regular plane takes off and looses contact with every body. And since then, no body knows where might the plane be. Its almost over 96 hrs now and all probabilities are ending up with negative result. 

Yesterday night, I was listening to some serious discussion over where could that plane be, on some news channel. Apparently, the participants were some big shots. The way they were proposing the probable activities of the plane was just amusing to me. It went from terrorist attack to suicide case to misguided track taken by the plane and what not.  This just proved to me, no matter how experienced you are, Nature always has something unknown hidden and when it is finally revealed, you end up awestruck and  trying to find the foot prints of the activities.

To this point, nobody is sure where is the plane. It was proposed that it changed its route and went towards Strait of Malacca. But recent reports deny that path taken. We are back in the sea near Vietnam, it seems.

If it is a terrorist activity, terrorist must be very genius not to leave any footprints behind. If its nature, well then, it seems to be showing some of its new colors which are not known at all to the humans.

Somewhere I have started feeling that the passengers of the plane might all be alive with the plane sitting quietly in some not so explored island on the earth. I hope I am true.

Let humans manage to unravel this mystery as soon as possible.

Google's advertisement

How many times has it happened that you watch an advertisement and it touches your heart. And while that happens, the advertisement actually shows different features of the product. This is a rare case scenario. Recently, I came across such an ad and interesting fact is I have seen this ad only once on TV. 

This is an advertisement for Google. I have never before seen any advertisement by Google. So, this was the first ever experience of witnessing their advertisement skills. And, sure they know how to do it in the best way.

A theme based on friendship and a story of two friends separated many years back. How Google plays an important role in bringing them together is the basis of all the story.

Everything about this advertisement is amazing. Actors have made the character alive. Back ground music smoothly fits in your mind and all different roles google play role during the ad, are experienced by all of us at some point of the time.

I wonder why this advertisement is so rarely shown. For me, this is one of the best advertisements I remember seeing in recent times.

Kejriwal's AAP: A mystery story

Arvind Kejriwal: A name that rose to height in the shortest known time. Till two years back, he was just known as the right hand of Anna Hajare. Over the time, he started making his own image as he split away from Hajare.

He had started creating ripples in Delhi zone. But still most of us had no idea what he is going to achieve in just a period of few months.

And then assembly election took place that changed the whole equation of politics in India. A brand new party named AAP came into picture. It not only showed ground to the leading party Congress but also inhibited BJP from forming government. It showed all of us that there is another and clean way of winning elections by mere winning confidence of people. Things were all going right for Kejriwal and company.

But then Congress offered to give support to this party to form government and things started going down side there on. While some still believed that AAP's intention are clean, others started questioning their stand of joining hands those who they fought against.

Anyway, Government was formed, ministers were nominated and Kejriwal took 2 big decision related to water and electricity issue in Delhi. All this with in few hours of becoming Chief Minister. Some appreciated it and many condemned. Some ministers took their job seriously and started taking tough steps to improvise the situation. But few others took wrong signals from Kejriwal's victory over Shiela Dikshit and started making noise. One of their leaders directly challenged  Rahul Gandhi and Rajnath Singh/ Narendra Modi to fight elections against him and that too from Amethi. He is becoming the face of AAP for making atrocious comments.

In the mean time another minister raided some residential areas of foreign nationals creating troubles for AAP. We do not know what all actually happened and who should be believed, but some how a picture is getting painted that AAP is not able to manage the success they got.

What made it more difficult to digest is the way in which Kejriwal joined in the agitation to  suspend some policemen. Probably he is right in demanding that, but somehow picture seems to be getting fuzzy with every new day coming.

The worst part that AAP has decided to do which most of the "Aam Aadmi" is not able to understand is the way they are trying to make it large by participating in as many as possible Lok Sabha seats. Most of us expected them to work in Delhi and show every body how things can be done in better fashion and give a good governance. But instead they are trying to make their party bigger by going nationwide.

Lots of things are happening in too small time. It has started appearing that this success of AAP might end up being a short stint that might extinguish very soon. Time has all the answer and all we can do is wait and watch and probably take a right decision of we get a chance to contribute.
